The Baule tribe is renowned for their elaborate wood carvings that combine abstraction and realism. Classic Baule characteristics include lengthened faces, placid looks, elaborate scarification marks, and stylized hairstyles that reflect beauty, fertility, and spiritual protection. Traditionally, they are utilized in Goli dance ceremonies to promote joy and community harmony.
